North American CFOs Remain Optimistic

The Deloitte CFO Signals quarterly survey for Q4 2010 indicates that overall, 53% of surveyed CFOs at North America's largest companies are more optimistic than they were in the previous quarter. Promotional Email Volume Falls 6% During Jan.

That's up 3% from a little more than 2.8 week-over-week, down 6% from 3.1 four weeks ago, and up 18% from a little more than 2.4 year-over-year. Read more »

Average Valentine’s Day Spending Up 11%

Total holiday spending is expected to reach $15.7 billion, also up 11% from $14.1 billion last year. Read more »

Older Music Acts Drive US Touring Revenue

deloitte-singers-jan-2011.JPGMusical artists and singers who will be in their 50s and 60s in 2011 produced a combined 59% of US touring revenue from the top 20 live acts between 2000 and 2009, according to a new white paper from Deloitte. "Technology, Media & Telecommunications Predictions 2011" finds that 40% of touring revenue from the top 20 live acts in the past decade, or about $2.5 billion, was generated by artists who are or will be in their 60s this year.
