Smartphones Influence 5.1% of In-Store Sales

Electronics and appliance stores see the highest smartphone use and frequency among 11 types of retail stores (including department stores, apparel, grocery stores, etc.), where smartphone use influences 5.1% of sales on average. Of note, despite indications that cord-cutters are going online for their content, recent research from GfK Media reveals that among those who have cancelled their pay TV service, online options were cited as the reason by less than 1 in 5. Global Ad Spend Up 3.1% Y-O-Y in Q1
