Notes: Some 88% of adults in South Korea – including 100% of 18-34-year-olds – own a smartphone, making this the top country for smartphone ownership of the 40 surveyed by the Pew Research Center. Australia (77%), ahead of Israel (74%) and the US (72%), with Spain (71%) rounding out the top 5. Smartphone ownership is higher among 18-34-year-olds than those aged 35 in each of the countries surveyed, and ownership is also higher among those with higher levels of education and income in each country.
