The summer blockbuster The Dark Knight and fellow superhero movie Iron Man nabbed the highest spots on top-10 lists for box office revenues and? DVD sales this year, while songs by Alicia Keys and Flo Rida, and titles The Shack and A New Earth were tops in music and book categories, according to The Nielsen Company, which released its annual “Top 10” movie, music and book rankings for the year.
For in-theater movie receipts, The Dark Knight was the clear winner, bringing in a total of $530M. The Batman movie was followed by Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Hancock.? Children’s movies Wall-E,? Kung Fu Panda and others also performed well.
