Notes: A slight majority – 53% – of Gen Z (18-24) consumers have made a mobile payment while using the internet in the past 6 months, reports GfK, a figure that falls to 37% for Gen Y (25-34) respondents, 27% for Gen Xers (35-49) and 14% for Baby Boomers (50-68). There’s a strong age-related gap in attitudes towards mobile payments’ security, with Gen Z respondents more than three times as likely as Baby Boomers to feel confident that the payments are 100% secure (33% vs. 10%).

There is more parity among generations when it comes to concerns over personal information, which range from a low of 51% among Boomers to a high of 60% among Gen Y respondents.
