Notes: While just 13% of the more than 1 million blog posts analyzed were published on the weekend, those posts received almost one-third of the data set’s total number of social shares. Saturday appeared to be the most effective day to post by that measure, garnering 18% of total shares while comprising just 6.3% of the blog posts. Separately, on a time of day basis, the study indicates that most posts are published during working hours, but those published between 9PM and midnight have the most social shares.

About the Data: For its report, TrackMaven analyzed 4,618 blogs and collected all posts for each of the blogs through April 3, 2014, for a total of 1,167,426 posts.
