Trade Show Revenues Increase; B2B Print Ad Pages, Revs Decrease

Recent trade show revenues continue to grow in the first quarter of 2007, reaching $2.94 million, according to findings from the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), reports American Business Media. That’s a  5.3% increase compared with the year-ago period.

Attendance also grew - some 3.1% - and the upward trend is expected to continue through 2007, according to CEIR.

Meanwhile, the Business Information Network (BIN) report through March shows that magazine print revenues declined a tad the first quarter, decreasing 1.16%. Ad pages also decreased slightly - 2.91%.

However, there were strong category performers, including the Architecture, Design, Lighting category, with a year-to-date increase in ad revenue of 10.68%; Professional Services, which followed with a 9.39% increase; and the Resources, Environment and Utilities category with an 8.25% increase.
