Notes: Google continues to air creative ads on national TV, according to Ace Metrix’s latest rundown of the “Brands of the Year,” which lists the brands that aired the most effective ads in relation to their competition. Google – the brand of the year in 2013 and the top advertiser in the Software & Websites category again last year – topped its category again in 2015, outperforming the average brand Ace Score by 20%.
Other notable performers include HBO topping the Telecom Services category, Amazon leading in the Retail category and Amazon Fire heading the list in the Mobile Devices category.

About the Data: To qualify for Ace Metrix Brand of the Year, a brand must have debuted 5 or more unique pieces of creative on national television, within a category containing more than 100 pieces of creative and five qualifying brands. The Brand of the Year winners earned the highest average Ace Score for their 2015 portfolio of work, outperforming all other qualifying competitors within their category. Data is based on ads initially aired between January 1, 2015 and December 10, 2015, from data available through December 21, 2015.
