According to Magna Global:

  • The median age of the Big 4, in the aggregate, increased from 46.5 to 48 this season as a result of significant declines in the 18-to-34 demo.
  • Also for the first time, the combined median age for ABC, NBC and CBS reached 50.
  • ABC’s median age increased from 46 to 48. NBC’s remained 49. CBS’s increased from 52 to 53.
  • Fox’s median age increased from 39 in the previous season as a result, in part, of a more than 10% decreased in its 18-to-34 demo, which on average comprises 23% of its audience.
  • None of the networks’ late-night shows had median ages below 40 - another first - including Fox’s MadTV.
