NBC’s ‘Deal or No Deal’ Site the Most-Visited Show Website in Premiere Week

NBC’s website for its Deal or No Deal was the most-visited broadcast network television show website among a custom category of selected shows for the week ended Sept. 29 - a week in which many networks premiered shows for the new season, Hitwise said.

Deal or No Deal received 15.46% of all US visits during the week among the more than 120 TV-show websites from the six leading broadcast networks that were included in the custom category.

  • NBC.com received the largest market share of US visits, 36.70%, among a custom category of the six broadcast networks for the week ended Sept. 29.

  • ABC.com received the second-most visits for the week with 30.41%, followed by CBS.com with 19.08%.
  • Among all US internet searches that contained the phrase “season premiere,” the ABC television series, Lost, was the most searched for premiering show for the four weeks ended Sept. 29.
  • Lost, which doesn’t premiere until early 2008, received 5.92% of US searches among all the ’season premiere’ searches.
  • The CW Network’s, One Tree Hill, received 1.59% of searches for the week, making it the fourth most-searched-for television series premiere.
  • Following searches for One Tree Hill were those for Smallville, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Heroes and CSI.

About the data: Hitwise ranked the selected broadcast network television show websites whether they are a standalone site such as American Idol or a section within a larger website such as Deal or No Deal. The show websites are ranked by market share of US visits among all the websites included.
