Consumers Comfortable With Email Contact From Brands, Don’t Want Phone Calls

      Notes: The survey, which was restricted to 20-40-year-olds, found that 93% are comfortable getting contacted from brands and suppliers via email, compared to fewer than 6 in 10 feeling comfortable about contact via social media or text message. Only one-quarter are comfortable receiving phone calls, though.

          About the Data: The survey was carried out online in March and April 2014, with 2,012 consumers in the US and UK. Participants consisted of 1,000 respondents in the US and 1,012 in the UK. Participants were between 20 and 40 years of age with gender, socio-economic and income controls in place.
