With related titles at #1 and #5, NCSoft’s Aion took top honors this month as the most popular PC game. Similarly, Atari’s Champions Online (#3) and several World of Warcraft titles (#4, #8, #10, #15) marketed by Blizzard Entertainment made the list.

In addition to the wildly popular MMOGs, which are capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously, simulation titles also proved resilient. The Sims 3 (at #2), which was top-ranked in August, The Sims Double Deluxe (#7), and The Sims 2 University Life Edition (#20) all made the list.

The Mumbo Jumbo Assortment, which features puzzle-type games such as JewelQuest and Luxor, ranked at #6.
