Notes: First-half revenues from music streaming services exceeded $1 billion for the first time, buoyed by 23% year-over-year growth, says the RIAA. In fact, revenues from digital streaming services accounted for one-third of all industry revenues, outpacing physical sales (24% share) by a sizable margin. There were 8.1 million US paid subscriptions during the first half of the year, with revenues from paid subscriptions alone almost equaling physical CD sales.
