AT&T, Yahoo Top March Display Ad Rankings

Yahoo Sites – which racked up 42.8 billion US ad views in March 2009 – ranks as the top display ad publisher for the month, while AT&T is the top display advertiser, capturing nearly 6 billion ad views, according to data from the comScore Ad Metrix service.

Top 10 Online Display Ad Publishers

comScore reports that Yahoo Sites captured 13.2% market share of the more than 324 million ad views overall and reached 139 million people online in March. Fox Interactive Media ranked second with 31.4 billion ad views (9.7% share), while social networking site Facebook.com captured the third spot with 24.8 billion ad views (7.7%). Microsoft Sites placed fourth.

Top 10 Online Display Advertisers

AT&T, which ranked as the #1 display advertiser based on ad views, captured 1.8% market share, and reached 147 million people online. A significant component of AT&T’s display ad campaigns in March was the promotion of free camera phones, including the Sony Ericsson W350.

Other top display advertisers included Verizon, with 5.7 billion ad views (1.8% share), Vonage with 4.3 billion ad views (1.3% ) and Scottrade with 4 billion ad views (1.2%).
